Rome – Historic agreement between Lazio region and general medicine

A important agreement was signed yesterday morning between the Lazio Region and general medicine, which will change dramatically administrative and management methods used to date. There are four pivotal points on which the’entire agreement will be based and which will serve as a model example for the’entire healthcare. Taking care of the chronically ill will take place with dedicated care pathways, i general practitioners will also provide care on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., there will be the possibility to prescribe prescriptions also online and the booking of visits will be divided on the basis of the parameters urgent, urgent short and deferable.

"Today's agreement with general practitioners represents a historic step for our region.". States the councilman Piero Petrassi “This agreement, the fruit of which is also the result of the excellent work done in the steering committee by Dr. Alessio D'Amato, marks not only a turning point for our region, but also constitutes a model example of medical appropriateness for Health Care.".
