Rome – Atac supports Telethon in rare disease research

Atac this year participates in the Telethon awareness and fundraising marathon for rare disease research. Throughout the month of December, the stations Cyprus, Lepanto, Bologna, and Polyclinic will welcome Telethon operators engaged in fundraising and donations by sms to the number 45501. For the occasion, the Cipro station of Metro A has been renamed Cipro-Telethon and branded with the awareness campaign “#nonmiarrendo”.

Other initiatives. Personalized public transportation maps with the fundraising campaign will be distributed at the Termini welcome desk. On Dec. 19 and 20 in the Cyprus-Telethon, Lepanto, Bologna and Policlinico metro stations, it will be possible to buy “Telethon Chocolate Hearts”. Proceeds will be used to support research.

Telethon “Chocolate Hearts” will also be distributed at Atac locations. During the week of Dec. 13-20, in conjunction with the RAI television marathon, Atac front-end staff will wear Telethon research scarves.

Those who wish to donate can do so by texting to 45501. Until December 21, the solidarity number 45501 will be active. The value of the donation will be 2 euros for each text message sent from TIM, Vodafone, WIND, 3, PosteMobile, CoopVoce and Tiscali cell phones.

It will also be 2 euros for each call made to the same number from Vodafone and TWT landlines and 5 and 10 euros for each call made from TIM, Infostrada, Fastweb and Tiscali landlines.
